Round servings trays have always been favorites of waiters all over the world. They are easier to handle and to carry high above their heads. They are also easier to balance than rectangular trays and glasses fit better on them too because there are no corners to deal with. Walking around many people and tables with a loaded round serving tray is safer than doing it with a square or rectangular one.

Round serving trays are found in different sizes and materials too. The sizes vary between normal trays which has a diameter of approximately fifteen inches to a large one with a diameter of twenty five inches. They are made of wood, aluminum, tin and the best are made out of light stainless steel. Stainless steel trays will last forever and they do not scratch or dent either, they are great for bars and restaurants where many people have to be served daily.

Wooden round serving trays will not do a good job at a restaurant or dinner. They are heavier than stainless steel and they will not handle the punishment. They work beautifully at home though and some of them have a mirror on the bottom and real nice handles which you can use as a decoration on a table instead of as a round serving tray.
