Almost all of the gifts shown there can be personalized with or without your logo and/or text fitting the occasion.
When a company gives promotional items to potential clients or customers, they are doing so to make their company name well known. Pens are often imprinted with a name and contact information. Sometimes the company logo is on these corporate business gifts as well. It is a marketing campaign designed to keep their name in front of the public.
A company may give away holiday gifts to regular customers as a way of rewarding them for past sales. They may imprint notepads with leather covers displaying their contact information. It could be a calendar that is viewed every day.
Catalogues are mailed to corporations. Pens are one of the favorite items. They are inexpensive and can display the company name, address, phone number and email address. Available in a wide variety of colors, some have a small flashlight on the end. Key chains are another less costly option. These are equipped with flashlights that can illuminate the door lock on a dark night.
In most cases, purchasing these items in larger volume allows the corporation to pay a lower price per item. A catalogue and sample pen or key chain may be sent out randomly to business owners as an advertising tool. If affordable, these small items can be passed out in lieu of business cards. A pen is certainly more likely to be retained.
Branding, making people aware of a brand, is the primary purpose of these items. They are taken to conventions, trade shows and distributed in various other ways. In politics, they are used to familiarize the public with a candidate. Another use is for fund raising. There was a campaign to fund cancer research in which pink bracelets were sold for a small contribution.
The form of advertising called branding now makes products available on websites as well as sending out catalogues. Corporate gifts now include t-shirts, hats and bumper stickers. Some corporations give out more expensive items to their best customers. One example is the gift bags given out to presenters at the Academy Awards Ceremony each year. These corporate business gifts may include small leather goods, expensive perfumes and even handbags.
