Etched Glassware for Wedding Anniversary Gifts

If you are purchasing a large set of etched glassware, which will have a water glass, a wine glass, an aperitif glass and perhaps a highball glass in the whole set, then the etching needs to be small enough to not overpower the smaller glasses, yet not be lost in the larger glasses. Some glass etching professionals usually suggest choices of sizes of engraving depending on the glass size to allow for uniformity yet good sizing. Those make a wonderful wedding gift.

If instead of a wedding you are attending an anniversary party, etched glassware will also make a perfect gift. One of the nicest keepsakes for an anniversary party is a set of elegant tall-stemmed glasses with which the couple can toast their anniversary with each year that may have their wedding date on them. In this case the engraver may suggest having both the initials of each person engraved upon them, using only first initials and maybe an ampersand between them with a heart!

Another very different gift involving etched glassware is to have the bottom of the stem of wine glasses etched rather than glass itself. The lover’s names can be etched fully going round the bottom of the glass, and there’s even room for the date of their wedding or anniversary on them.
