What can be more unique than a personal message engraved, debossed or foil stamped on a gift? It is surprising that personalized gifts have not caught on more than they have already! People keep buying presents off the shelf instead of giving something that ties in the gift with the occasion and the personal ties from the giver.
It isn’t that hard. As an example, giving someone a leather gift like a wallet with their initials monogrammed or name debossed will be appreciated much more by the recipient than a plain wallet with nothing on it. Lets face it, we all like to see our name on something.
Want to give a unique gift to a couple? Do a monogram with the middle initial being the surname, prefixed with the initial of the guy or gal and the suffix initial with the other person’s first name initial. Further enhance it by having the middle initial being larger will formalize it. As an example, the monogram for Sue and Scott Coffman would be SCS. It is even more impressive with a script font.
It is amazing how much longer people remember who gave them the gift when it is personalized. This weekend my son in law commented that he had found a long lost knife that we gave out for a golf on ice prize. Had it been not engraved, he probably wouldn’t remember where it came from, let alone glad to find it.
It does cost more to have a gift personalized, but not enough to offset the remembrance factor and that someone took the time to do it.
Wedding invitations, poems or original sayings can be engraved on larger pieces such as picture frames, ice buckets, guest books and more. We still have friends comment about it years later and now they are giving the same to their friends.
Most items can hold 4 lines of text. There is a lot you can say in four lines. Of course, you will have to think about what to say which isn’t that hard. As an example,
